Andretti Kit Car

This design represents a model car building kit (the only difference is the scale) as a feature element above the bar in Andretti Karting. I focused on 3D surface modeling an Indy-style race car using Solidworks. The car was built using a milling technique on the LSAM (a giant drill 5-axis routing a block of foam on a bed the size of a 3-car garage), then hard-coated, the milled again at a higher resolution, sanded, painted, and clear-coated along with all the other components. This activation has been built six times and counting as Andretti Karting continues to grow. This was an incredibly exciting project to be a part of and I can't wait to visit the new installation in Overland Park, KS.
